Emilia Truluck graduated summa cum laude from Emory University with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. After undergrad, she spent a year living in Jordan, where she researched sexual harassment, volunteered at an UNRWA school, and provided assistance to LGBT refugees. A 2017 Marshall scholar, she holds an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from the University of Oxford, and an MA in Gender Studies and Law from SOAS, University of London. At Michigan Law, she is a board member of the International Refugee Assistance Project, an oralist for the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition, and a researcher for the Syria Accountability Project.
