Amy Albanese

Amy Albanese is originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. A double wolverine, she graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan with a major in classical archaeology and a double minor in art history and museum studies. Amy received her Master’s degree from Tufts University where her thesis focused on the protection of archaeological sites under the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property. Amy has worked on archaeological sites in Pompeii, Rome and California. In her 1L summer, Amy worked at the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

Lauren Richards is a third year law student from Farmington Hills, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame where she majored in English and History, with a focus on Modern European History. In college she spent a semester in Toledo, Spain, studying in a language immersion program. Lauren spent her 1L summer working for the Whistleblower Retaliation division of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel in Detroit, Michigan. William Quinn

William Quinn is from Detroit, Michigan. He joined the U.S. Army in 2001 and completed tours as a human intelligence collector and interrogator in South Korea and Iraq. He received a bachelors degree in international politics and security studies from Georgetown University in 2010. After graduation, he was commissioned in Army and served as a logistics officer in Arizona. During his 1L summer, he worked in the Michigan Human Trafficking Clinic. He will spend his 2L summer at Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis in Washington, DC.

Katherine McGuigan
Kate McGuigan graduated from Colgate University in 2012 with a major in philosophy and a minor in anthropology. She then worked as a paralegal at the New York office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP before attending Michigan Law School. Zach Anderson graduated in 2013 from Colorado College with a bachelors in International Political Economy, living and studying in France and the United Kingdom in the process.  He then worked in Portland, Maine for the Immigrant Legal Assistance Project before coming to law school in the fall of 2014.  In law school, Zach has worked with the International Refugee Assistance Project and has lived in Geneva, Switzerland working with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.  He spent the summer of 2016 as an associate at Linklaters LLP working in both their international litigation and cross-border transactions practice areas.

Yekaterina Reyzis

Yekaterina (Katie) Reyzis graduated from the George Washington University with a major in International Affairs and a minor in Economics. During college, Katie studied abroad in London, England, where she interned for a Member of the British Parliament, and in Strasbourg, France, where she completed an independent comparative study of the European and Inter-American systems of human rights. Before law school, Katie worked for a non-profit organization as an advocate in the anti-human trafficking field and then as a paralegal. In law school, Katie is an oralist on the Jessup International Moot Court team, the Co-Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project, and a Student Attorney in the Michigan Human Trafficking Clinic. Katie is spending her 2L summer in the San Francisco office of Orrick, Herrington, and Sutcliffe. Most importantly, she has a very handsome Australian Shepherd named Rookie, who knows Russian and is quite the traveler.
